Who I Am

​

I’m Sam Andrus, founder of GTI Consulting LLC and a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. My six years of service, including two deployments to Al Dhafra Air Base, taught me discipline, adaptability, and the importance of seeing the big picture. Those lessons are the foundation of how I help businesses today.

 

Why I Do This

​

I grew up in Northern Minnesota in a family-owned construction company. While the business was skilled in the trade, it eventually went bankrupt due to poor management decisions. Watching that happen shaped my mission: to help business owners avoid the same fate by fixing the back-end challenges that too often go unnoticed.

My Experience

​

After leaving the military, I earned both a degree in Enterprise Leadership and an Executive MBA from the University of Iowa, graduating with distinction. My career has included:

• Owning and operating a small business myself

• Serving as an Area Operations Manager at Amazon

• Advising companies across industries as a consultant

 

This blend of experience gives me a unique perspective on the challenges small business owners face every day.

 

My Approach

I believe growth looks different for every owner. For some, it’s higher revenue. For others, it’s stability, profitability, or simply more time for family. My job is to partner with you, define what growth means for you, and then create the systems that make it possible.
