Who I Am

I’m Gary Van Ert, co-founder of GTI Consulting LLC and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. My six years of service as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer taught me precision, discipline, and leadership—skills that now help me guide businesses toward operational excellence.

Why I Do This

​

Throughout my career, I’ve seen businesses struggle not because of lack of opportunity, but because of inefficiencies in operations and logistics. My mission is simple: help business owners streamline the back-end of their companies so growth becomes sustainable and stress-free.

My Experience

​

After the military, I earned an Executive MBA from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa. I went on to:

• Lead divisions of mid-sized manufacturing companies

• Serve as an operations and logistics executive at MAHLE, a global manufacturing leader

• Work across industries in business development and operations leadership

 

This broad experience allows me to identify opportunities, reduce inefficiencies, and create strategies that drive long-term success.

 

Beyond Business

I am also the founder of Camden’s Cause, a nonprofit that supports families who have experienced infant loss. This work reflects my commitment not only to business success but also to strengthening communities.
