OUR CONSULTING SERVICES
Every business has different priorities. GTI combines strategic guidance with hands-on support to help owners address financial, operational, construction, and marketing challenges — then put the agreed improvements into practice.
01 — Construction Business Consulting
Problem
A full backlog does not always mean strong profitability or healthy cash flow. Labor overruns, inaccurate estimates, missed change orders, slow collections, and poor job visibility can quietly reduce results.
What GTI Does
GTI helps construction companies connect estimating, job costing, crew performance, cash flow, collections, and operating decisions so owners can better understand where money is earned and where it is being lost.
What You Receive
Depending on the agreed scope, support may include job-cost reviews, estimating analysis, cash-flow forecasts, operating scorecards, pricing reviews, and estimate-versus-actual feedback processes.
02 — Operations Consulting
Problem
When too much depends on the owner, growth becomes harder to manage. Unclear responsibilities, inconsistent processes, scheduling issues, and limited visibility can create unnecessary friction.
What GTI Does
GTI helps identify bottlenecks, clarify responsibilities, improve workflows and scheduling, and establish practical systems for accountability and regular operating review.
What You Receive
Depending on the engagement, you may receive workflow recommendations, responsibility assignments, SOPs, scheduling improvements, operating dashboards, scorecards, and process documentation.
03 — Cash Flow & Profitability Consulting
Problem
Strong sales do not always translate into strong cash flow or profit. Pricing, margins, overhead, collections, job costs, and the timing of expenses can all affect what the business actually keeps.
What GTI Does
GTI helps owners examine financial performance, understand cash needs, evaluate pricing and margins, review forecasts, and use financial information to make better operating decisions.
What You Receive
Depending on scope, support may include cash-flow forecasts, profitability analysis, pricing reviews, job costing, budget-to-actual analysis, financial KPIs, and management reporting.
04 — Marketing Consulting
Problem
Marketing activity does not automatically create profitable growth. Leads still need to be qualified, followed up on, converted into booked work, and supported by enough capacity to deliver.
What GTI Does
GTI connects advertising and marketing decisions to qualified leads, follow-up, booked work, business economics, and operating capacity.
What You Receive
Depending on scope, support may include campaign strategy, Google and Meta advertising, lead-generation systems, content planning, landing pages, conversion improvements, marketing analytics, and media coordination.

Why We Require a 6-Month Engagement
Sustainable business improvement takes time. A 6-month engagement allows GTI Consulting to move beyond surface-level fixes and focus on solving problems at their root cause.
Short-term consulting often results in temporary improvements that fail to hold. Our approach requires time to:
-
Build a strong working relationship with leadership
-
Develop a deep understanding of how the business truly operates
-
Identify which challenges are symptoms versus underlying issues
-
Implement solutions, measure results, and adjust accordingly
This structure ensures we are not simply applying quick fixes, but creating systems and strategies that support long-term growth.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How are consulting hours used?
Consulting hours are used based on the priorities and agreed scope of your engagement. Time may include meetings, analysis, planning, hands-on execution, and coordination with other professionals or vendors. For example, one month may include a strategy meeting, financial or operational analysis, implementation work, and vendor coordination. The exact allocation can change as your business priorities change.
What happens during the initial evaluation?
The initial evaluation is a paid part of the engagement and includes a review of your financial performance, operations and internal processes, marketing and advertising, and key business constraints. GTI uses this review to identify priorities and develop a practical implementation plan for the engagement.
What costs are separate?
Additional consulting time beyond the included hours, advertising spend, third-party expenses, and applicable travel costs may be separate from the monthly consulting fee. Final treatment and pricing for these costs will be confirmed as part of your engagement.
Can GTI work with our bookkeeper and existing vendors?
Yes. GTI can coordinate with your existing bookkeeper, accountant, marketing partners, technology providers, and other vendors when appropriate. GTI helps keep priorities, information, and responsibilities aligned, while each professional or vendor remains responsible for the services within their own area of expertise.
